Environmental Policy
At Roy & Paul Painting, our policy is to strive to achieve and maintain health, safety and environmental performance standards. We take pride in our community, and we want to be good neighbors. In addition, we know that actions speak louder than words, which is why we "walk the talk" when it comes to preserving and protecting our environment.
Environmental Initiatives
Through our environmental initiatives, Roy & Paul Painting is helping to promote healthy and sustainable business practices. Through our knowledge and willingness to participate in these more environmentally friendly practices, we strive to achieve your confidence and trust in our ability to help make the world a better place to live.
Paint Stewardship Program
Roy & Paul Painting & Decorating participates in a Paint Stewardship Program for the Oakland County communities we service. We accept residential consumer waste paint for safe disposal and recycling and the service is provided free of charge.
You can deliver your waste materials directly to SOCRRA located at 991 Coolidge Hwy between 14 Mile and 15 Mile Rd. Please call (248) 288-5153 toc schedule an appointment. Drop off hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Alternatively, you may call Roy & Paul Painting for pickup.
The following is a list of paints and coatings that you can recycle through us:
- Interior & exterior latex, alkyd, enamel & oil-based consumer paints
- Deck paints and stains
- Interior & exterior varnishes and urethanes
- Primers and sealers
- Wood finishing oils, stains & shellac
- Latex driveway sealers
- Rust paint, decorative metal paints
- Empty paint containers
Roy & Paul Employee Environmental Code of Conduct
Be an environmentally responsible neighbor. Handle waste materials properly to prevent or minimize air, water and other pollution. Act promptly and responsibly to correct incidents or conditions that endanger health, safety or the environment.
Promote the use of low VOC water-based paints, which diminish the need for toxic solvents. Our standard is Sherwin-Williams Harmony brand paints, designed to eliminate hazardous toxins from entering our environment.
Conserve natural resources by reusing and recycling materials wherever possible, and by purchasing recycled packaging and other materials.
Ensure the responsible use of energy throughout our business, including conserving energy, improving energy efficiency and giving preference to renewable over non-renewable energy sources when feasible. Improve systems and operations to minimize waste.
Strive to continually improve Roy & Paul's environmental management system.
