Exterior Painting
Why paint the exterior of your home?
Exterior surface restoration, painting or staining is an excellent way to increase the value of your home by adding curb appeal. Depending on your needs, we can repair or replace damaged sections of trim, fascia, eaves and more to restore your home to a like-new appearance, and give it a beautiful exterior finish.
Exterior
Exterior painting is different from interior painting and it takes knowledgeable painting professionals to achieve professional results. Our professional painters know what skills are required to achieve professional results, because our painters have years of professional painting experience. We want to put that professional painting experience to work for you.
Every exterior painting project is different. The most important thing about each of our painting projects is meeting our customer's expectations. We want you to be pleased with the results of our work. To that end, we always discuss each part of a potential project with our customer before we start working, to ensure the customer is aware of the options available and can then make an informed decision.

Setup
Any professional painter will tell you that 90% of painting work is preparation. As painting professionals ourselves, we at Roy & Paul Painting are no different. Even before our surface preparation work begins, we spend time protecting any areas that will not receive paint including chimneys, concrete foundations, exterior fixtures, air conditioners, etc. Drop cloths and professional painters plastic are used to catch paint chips as they are scraped off as well as paint splatters when the new paint is applied. We treat your property with the same respect we would treat our own.
Prepare Surfaces
An exterior painting project requires more than simply applying a few coats of paint. There are many steps that need to be taken to restore and prepare the surface in order to get it ready for the finish coat of paint. With years of professional painting experience, we know what needs to be done to give you a beautiful exterior you can enjoy for years to come.
Every project is different and as a professional painting company we know how to prepare each surface properly. Some of our common preparation steps include:
-
Scraping and sanding to remove loose paint and smooth out imperfections
-
Thorough cleaning of surfaces including pressure washing if necessary
-
Repairing or replacing damaged sections including wood trim, fascia, eaves and soffits
-
Filling holes and caulking as required to provide a smoother finish
-
Priming any areas which require it using an appropriate oil-based or latex primer

Clean Up
Once all of the painting work has been completed, we begin the clean-up stage. We return any fixtures that were removed and remove any masking materials and drop cloths that were used to protect surfaces that were remaining unpainted. During our clean-up we carefully contain any waste materials including toxic paint, paint chips and other waste materials which are then disposed of properly. Any left-over paint is labeled appropriately and stored in the location of your choosing. This ensures that any touch-up work that may be required in the future will be color-matched appropriately.
Inspect
We always do a final walkthrough at the end of each project to ensure customer satisfaction and to identify and correct any points of concern before we present your final bill.
When you hire Roy & Paul Painting you can rest assured that you're hiring professional painters. We work start to finish to make sure each project is a success and something you can be proud of and enjoy for years to come. We want to be your painting company for life.
