Setup
As all professional painters know, 90% of the work that goes into a painting project is proper preparation.  As professional painting contractors, we at Roy & Paul Painting understand the type of work that goes into an interior painting project.

Your furniture, wall hangings and accessories are placed in the center of the room and fully wrapped with plastic sheeting to prevent paint splatters. Outlet and switch plate covers are removed unless they are to be painted the same color as the walls.  We use drop cloths, paper and plastic to cover and protect your floor, molding, windows and all surfaces not receiving paint.  Depending on the surface it is being applied to, we use different varieties of masking tape to ensure a flawless finish.

When you hire a professional painting company, you can expect to be treated with courtesy and respect.  We take every measure to ensure your property and belongings are unharmed and free of paint.

Prepare Surfaces
The quality of a paint job is only as good as the quality of the surface to which it is applied.  There are a number of different steps involved to properly prepare an interior surface for the finish coat of paint.  Our painting professionals know what needs to be done in order to achieve stunning results.

Every interior painting project is different.  As professional painters, we have years of painting experience and know how to achieve excellent results under any circumstances.  Some of our common interior preparation steps include:
  • Spackling any defects such as cracks, holes, nail pops or other damage
  • Scraping and sanding to remove loose paint and smooth out imperfections
  • Caulking as needed to fill open cracks and joins in corners and around molding and trim
  • Priming all appropriate areas with job-specific primer to cover repairs, discoloration or stains
Apply Paint
After our preparation work has been completed, we apply the finish coat of paint.  Our professional grade, premium quality Sherwin-Williams® brand paint (or the paint of your choosing) is applied smoothly, consistently and without impurities. Doors and wood trim are painted with oil-based paint whenever possible due to it's superior hardness, smoothness, durability and washability.  The number of finish coats will vary depending on the requirements of the painting project.

Clean Up
After our painting work is finished, we enter the clean-up stage.  Any furniture, wall hangings and accessories are carefully uncovered and returned to their original positions.  If you would like them placed differently, we can do that as well.  All outlet and switch plate covers are replaced. All of our materials, including paper, plastic and drop cloths are carefully removed.  All waste materials such as toxic paint, paint chips and dust waste, are removed and disposed of properly.  Your floors are vacuumed or swept and any left-over paint is labeled with the room and area in which it was used, and stored in the location of your choosing for future touch up work, if needed.

Inspect
After clean up is completed, we do a final walkthrough to ensure customer satisfaction and to identify and correct any points of concern you may have before we present your final bill.

When you hire Roy & Paul Painting you can rest assured that you're hiring professional painters.  We work start to finish to make sure each project is a success and something you can be proud of and enjoy for years to come.  We want to be your painting company for life.
